Last week a good friend of mine was telling me that in spending time to find a first communion dress for her daughter and planning the details of her small family get together she had not been able to think about a great gift for her daughter to always remember this special occasion. So she was asking me for ideas and I shared with her that most of the time, for a girl's baptism, I give pearl earrings. I like the idea because pearls are soft and classic and can be worn throughout different ages. Although this is my "go to gift" for a girl's baptism I felt it was as appropriate for a girl's first communion. Given that her daughter does not have pearls and that she wanted to give her something she will keep forever, she thought the idea was fabulous and bought her the following ones from Hamawi Jewellers in Place D'Orleans, Ottawa.
They looked so pretty on her!!
Let us inspire you to find the perfect gift for that special person! All ages, all budgets, all occasions! We're two good friends who love the thrill of finding those unique and great gifts for the people in our lives.

First Communion Gift for a Young Girl
For some life events I always find it easier to buy for a girl than a boy, and this is the case for a First Communion. I like to give something that is somewhat timeless and that will stay with the little girl for years, at least as a keepsake. So this weekend I bought a special little girl a Thomas Sabo charm bracelet and charms from Hamawi Jewellers in Ottawa.
I chose this bracelet because I think it is more age appropriate.
I also love these bracelets for young girls, but I thought in this case the above was more appropriate.
I bought these charms, the first to suit the religious celebration and the second her initial.
I find charm bracelets make great gifts because they can always be updated. I like the Thomas Sabo collection for young girls because it offers a lot of charms with colour which is more fun for young girls. I hope she likes it!
